Our Coaches Are Proof Our Programs Work.
All of our coaches are required to be Level 1 CrossFit Trainers. But beyond that, they are all enthusiastic, passionate about health and fitness, and are driven to help improve the lives of everyone in our XLR8 communities.

Standing at 5’9″ and 190#, Bob looks just like your average high school sports coach. With good reason – he was a teacher and coach for 25 years, until recently retiring to become the Director of Operations for CrossFit On the Dunes (OTD) Fieldhouse in Commerce, MI.
Bob is one of the most humble and down to earth guys you will ever meet. Inspired by watching one of his former students, Julie Foucher, compete in the Games, Bob originally first discovered Hines Park CrossFit as a way to get his team of high school wrestlers involved in off-season strength and conditioning via a young athletes’ CrossFit Club. It was through coaching wrestling that Bob developed an interest to wrestle himself, going on to place in the USA Wrestling Veterans National Championships. It was no surprise that when Bob started conditioning his athletes through CrossFit, that it was a sport he himself would participate in, inevitably ending up competing at a national level.
Bob competed in the 2014 and 2015 CrossFit Games, Masters Division, finishing 6th and 8th respectively.
